The Messy Middle of Creating: Behind the Scenes of My Studio

The Studio Is a Mess… and I Love It 👀

Right now, my studio is a mess.

Not the aesthetic kind—the real kind.

Projects spread out across every surface, notes in piles, supplies tucked into corners, and ideas layered on top of each other faster than I can organize them.

And honestly?

I love it.

Because this is what it looks like when something is being built.

What’s Taking Over My Space Right Now

At the moment, I’m working on a few different things at once—

Five centerpiece designs are in progress, each one tied to a different theme and story.

I’ve been thrifting, gathering textures, and slowly piecing together what each one will become.

At the same time, I’m planning for two upcoming modeling events, which means outfits, concepts, and creative direction are all floating around the studio too.

So yes… it’s a little chaotic.

But it’s the kind of chaos that means ideas are turning into something real.

The Centerpiece Project (A Beginning)

The centerpiece project is one of the things I’m most excited about right now

This isn’t just about creating decor—

it’s about storytelling through objects, textures, and small details.

Each piece is being designed to feel like its own world.

A mix of materials, color, mood, and meaning layered together into something that feels complete.

Right now, it’s still in the early stages—

gathering, planning, testing ideas.

I don’t even have all the bases yet.

But I have the vision.

And I have the pieces starting to come together.

And sometimes, that’s enough to begin.

Why I Let It Be Messy

I don’t create in perfectly clean, organized spaces.

I create in layers.

In progress.

In the middle of figuring things out.

Messy doesn’t mean unproductive.

Messy means something is happening.

It means I’m experimenting.

Trying things.

Letting ideas evolve instead of forcing them into something too soon.

The Moodboard (Where It Starts)

Every project starts somewhere—and for this one, it starts with a feeling.

A mix of textures, colors, and inspiration that shape what each piece will become.

(Insert your moodboard here đź‘€)

This is the beginning of it all—

before the final pieces, before the polish, before everything comes together.

What’s Next

Next, I’ll start building out the first few pieces—

testing layouts, layering materials, and bringing these ideas into physical form.

I’ll be sharing more of the process as I go—

the good, the messy, and everything in between.

Because this is what the studio looks like right now.

Not finished.

Not perfect.

But very much in motion.

If you want to follow along, I’ll be sharing more of this here inside the studio.
